Marshall Center for European Security Studies, specializing in cybersecurity, with particular focus on new threats, hybrid warfare, the merger of virtual and physical space through the IoT, cyberterrorism, and information security, and Senior Adviser for Emerging Security Challenges at the Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes. 

A strategist and technologist in diverse security and technology fields including cybersecurity and foresight, Dr. Costigan is director and co-founder of ITL Security, a technology and security consultancy.
